Scope of Works
The works of this contract comprise the manufacture, supply, delivery and unloading of pipes and associated works as described in this specification. The scope of works is as follows:
• The pipes to be supplied under this Contract shall meet the requirements of Schedule A and the relevant WSAA purchase specifications.
• The Contractor shall not deliver any pipes to the site without prior approval in writing of the Engineer.
• The Engineer may delegate the placement of orders for pipes to the Pipeline Constructor.
• The Engineer or Pipeline Constructor will provide a minimum of 5 days notice to the Contractor for supply of pipes.
• The Contractor shall give the Engineer a minimum 2 days notice of the expected date and time that each delivery is to occur, along with an itemised inventory of all items being delivered. The itemised inventory shall be in a similar format and with similar numbering to that contained in the Schedule of Rates.
• The Contractor shall be responsible for unloading of all pipes and stacking them at the site. The pipes are to be stacked in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. The Engineer will ensure that there is suitable access for the unloading of pipes.
• All handling, transport and storage of pipes shall be carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. The Contractor shall supply a copy of the manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations to the Engineer.
