Scope of Works
• Bitumen surfaced Mountain Bike pump track that provides interest and challenge to riders of varying skills whilst deriving maximum utilization of the space allocated for the track;
• Landscaped area surrounding the track and within the asphalted areas.
The scope of this contract is to Design & Construct an asphalt Pump Track (including turfed areas and drainage).
It is envisaged that the final works will deliver a bitumous surfaced track. The non-track areas are to be naturally turfed with a location appropriate turf. The low lying areas shall be drained to prevent ponding and bogging. The track will directly connect to paths that enter and exit the area and will be adjacent to shaded BBQ areas. As per the masterplan design. It is expected that the contractor creates connecting paths in ashphalt to the boundary of the pump track area.
The pump track will be the first feature to be constructed at Hammon park. This means that the contractor can expect to find Hammon park as per the current survey documents that are included for reference in this tender package. Construction of the car park and surrounding paths will occur after completion of the pump track.
The contract works shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Design: All design required to clearly identify the pump track works including dimensions, levels, plan views, sections, longitudinal drawings, and details/detail sections. Designs drawings to include the track, turf areas, drainage (spread so as not to cause scouring or flooding), interface/connection with existing infrastructure etc. All design to be undertaken and certified by suitably qualified persons. The design should include:
o Site survey
o Detailed engineering design. (drainage, cross sections and long sections)
o For Construction engineering certification
o 2D and 3D Auto CADD modelling and 3D printing.
• Size Specifications:
o Not less than 400m2 of asphalted area (pump track specific mix design)
o Not less than 600m2 of basic landscaped area
o Not less than 1000m2 of total footprint
