Hepburn Shire Council is seeking a proven lead consultant to undertake the project with either a multi-disciplinary team of experts or their own in-house experts.
The project is to deliver a report listing of all existing walking, cycling and shared use trails in Hepburn Shire with potential to be activated to drive visitation and yield. This work will need to consider existing studies including the work being undertaken in partnership with Macedon Shire Council in relation to the Daylesford to Hanging Rock Rail Trail and work underway with the Creswick Trails project.
The purpose is to provide a report for Hepburn Shire Council with feasible ‘on’ or preferably ‘off-road’ shared trail routes, costs (both capital and maintenance), components and benefits to enable the Hepburn Shire Council to brand, invest and activate existing trails for the purposes of tourism and to seek funding from State and Federal Governments to implement in stages.
