Hepburn Shire has in its region, three kindergarten providers running seven centres. One of which is a privately owned and operated facility and Council acts as a landlord to the remaining six, providing the facility to operate out of. This project will consist of engaging a consultant to gain an understanding of the local needs and wants for children under 12 within the Shire and creating an Early Years Strategy.
Stakeholders will include Families and Children living in the Hepburn region Internal council staff, external family support organisations, Early Years providers and Family support programs. A clear understanding of the holistic needs and wants of children will be required including health, wellbeing, social and physical.
