Stage 1 - Remediation works - including roof repairs, new fascia, paint, spouting and inground drainage.
In 2020 a building condition survey was completed by Andronas Conservation Architecture which produced a prioritised report focusing on issues with these two buildings’ fabric and surrounds. Following this, in Feb 2021 a report was compiled by Mark Hodkinson – Structural Engineer which, coupled with the condition report and a drainage inspection, provided Council an informed approach to the conservation of these structures. Andronas Conservation Architecture subsequently provided the design and specification for this Stage 1 - opportunity. In 2022 a hygenist completed an evaluation on the mould encountered on the internals of the Mechanic's Institute building which has been included as an attachment also.
