Tender Details
For each of the shire’s five key townships, to engage the community and key stakeholders and prepare draft structure plans and support future planning scheme amendments to the Hepburn Planning Scheme.
Objectives:
To recognise the connection and stewardship of the Traditional Owners in relation to all settlements in the Shire.
• To articulate the shared vision for each township.
• To define the boundaries of townships and boundaries of activity centres.
• To allow for future growth of townships and to limit the growth beyond the boundaries of townships.
• To allow for transport connections, retail, economic social, environmental, demographics and housing roles for each township
• To provide for housing choice and diversity within township boundaries.
• To provide for well-designed and located public spaces, including passive and active, that serve the needs of the community and the visitor.
• To facilitate active walking and cycling.
• To support improved transport mode choice.
• To identify the optimal use of government owned land.
• To outline appropriate built form outcomes in terms of scale, height and setbacks.
• To conserve heritage, both post contact and Traditional Owner .
• To protect waterways and biodiversity and manage risks and hazards including bushfire and flooding
• To review, identify and protect significant landscapes and environmental features that may exist on the edges of townships
