Request for Proposal: Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited website development
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Horticulture Innovation Australia website development.
The objectives of the services being sought are to undertake development of Hort Innovation’s new website so that identified audiences and stakeholders will easily discover, access, and utilise relevant information and resources on the website:
• Easy discovery: The website will provide easy document discovery. The intention is to make it easy to find relevant content, and to also discover relevant content that relates to particular industries, interests or search terms. Relevance is the key term here – how the syntax of our search algorithm works to identify and deliver relevant search terms on scale will be paramount to the success of this project.
• Effective understanding of research reports: A content strategy and implementation outline for past and future research reports is needed to allow more people to read and understand the key findings of each report in simple terms, whilst having full access to the original reports and outputs.
• Effective utilisation of resources: As above, a content strategy and implementation outline for past, current and future resources is needed to allow more people to utilise the research outputs, and other related resources and information.
• Rewarding user journeys: A content strategy and implementation outline for the documented user journeys is needed to allow more growers to find their way to site locations easily, and depending user intent, be rewarded with relevant content.
• Increasing the grower audience: Increasing the grower audience will be brought about by a holistic view from ‘accrual’ through to ‘reward from site visit’. This will involve: improving digital accrual methods to get growers to the website; providing a positive user experience whilst on the site; and provision of reward whilst on the site.
• Hortlink integration: ‘Hortlink’ is Hort Innovation’s quarterly online magazine. It is currently set up in WordPress using a separate CMS to Hort Innovation’s corporate website. A reasonable amount of the content in Hortlink is shared with our corporate site, however, it is published as a standalone digital channel, and content population is also managed separately.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
