Request for Proposal: Demonstration of functional driverless tractor for Australian horticulture (AS17002)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Demonstration of functional driverless tractor for Australian horticulture (AS17002).
The key objective of this project is to demonstrate the feasibility of functional driverless tractors for Australian horticulture. It will assess regulatory requirements for an autonomous tractor in a farm setting. Subsequently, it will identify suitable navigation technologies for its use in a wide range of horticulture orchards such as almond, citrus and table grape.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
