Request for Proposal: Budget tool to calculate the cost to successfully establish trees in the urban landscape (NY18003)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Budget tool to calculate the cost to successfully establish trees in the urban landscape (NY18003).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation develop an understanding and promote awareness of the current cost to successfully establish a tree in the urban landscape.
Key aspects of the project are:
• Undertake a global review to determine what approaches are undertaken to quantify the cost for successful establishment of a tree in the urban landscape
• Pending the outcomes of the review, explore the opportunity to adopt, retrofit or develop a budget tool to calculate cost for successful establishment of any given number of trees for each of the key cost components, inclusive of a range of planting sizes from tube to advanced tree
• Achieve adoption of a budget tool by LGA's, state and federal authorities when setting planting goals.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
