Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Emerging leaders in protected cropping (LP18000).
Under this project, the respondent is required to work with Hort Innovation to develop a one year program to support and develop the next generation of leaders working in the protected cropping sector. The program must be tailored to ensure easy access to growers regardless of location, with a combination of online learning and face to face learning the preferred model. The service provider must:
• Ensure the program results in an official accreditation for participants
• Have access to cutting edge protected cropping facilities to ensure any face to face elements of the program are grounded in a real world environment
• Have support from industry, including large employers in the Australian protected cropping sector, that they will support the program by way of scholarships for participants
• Have links to international organisations that provide leadership training in the protected cropping sector
• Ensure the program is open to participants from a range of backgrounds including those with VET qualifications only or those with industry experience only
• Be willing to encourage all selected participants to engage with other industry leaders beyond the program via the Hort Innovation Leadership Alumni program
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
