Request for Proposal: SF19500 - Summerfruit China co-promotions 2019/20 (Round 1 of 2)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $13.2 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: SF19500 - Summerfruit China co-promotions 2019/20 (Round 1 of 2)
This project is an initiative managed by Hort Innovation to support Australian exporters and growers to implement effective marketing activities to drive awareness, trial and overall sales of Australian Summerfruit products in China.
Co-funding support will be provided to eligible Australian exporters to deliver these activities with the aim of enabling timely, targeted and effective implementation closely linked with quality supply.
There will be two rounds of the open tender process asking for applications in the 2019/20 season:
- Round 1: August 2019 (prior to Asia Fruit Logistica)
- Round 2: Late October 2019 (post Asia Fruit Logistica)
The objective of the program is to support industry in the launch phase of Australian summerfruit into China.
The initiative is part of the overarching ‘Taste Australia’ framework to drive premium positioning and so hence all activities must be consistent with the Summerfruit marketing strategy and positioning, contributing to building sustainable brand growth and delivering value to whole of industry.
The objectives of the services are to assist Hort Innovation:
• Build awareness and establish a premium position for Australian summerfruit in China by delivering on a taste and value proposition
• Implement promotional activities targeted at premium consumers and retailers, closely linked with the supply of quality product.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
