Request for Proposal: Trapping efficacy in table grape vineyards for area wide management of Queensland fruit fly
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $13.2 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Trapping efficacy in table grape vineyards for area wide management of Queensland fruit fly (TG19001).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assess the efficacy of different Qfly traps in a key table grape region (Sunraysia), with a participatory approach to research trials. Trapping and area wide management workshops should be conducted across the season. Information upon which growers could determine the optimum trapping strategies for management both 'on-farm' and regionally should be produced. The project will:
• Ensure the table grape industry can maximise market access opportunities
• Build integrated pest management capacity in the table grape industry
• Support the Australian table grape Industry in management of Qfly
• Support the Australian table grape industry in producing clean berries, free from Qfly.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEST), 22 November 2019.
