Request for Proposal: Potato communications and industry extension program (PT20000)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Potato communications and industry extension program (PT20000).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Deliver strategic and coordinated extension and communication services at a regional level through networking, coordinating and collaborating with industry service providers, industry organisations and major processing companies.
• Deliver extension and communication activities to ensure industry has the necessary tools (technologies and management practices) and capacity (knowledge and skills) to manage on-farm risks from a production and biosecurity perspective and meet market requirements and consumer expectations. Extension and communication activities should be aligned to the PT18003 work packages that have been prioritised by the project advisory group.
• Facilitate the feedback loop between growers and researchers to ensure that R&D outputs are relevant and accessible to end users and that industry R&D needs are reported to Hort Innovation.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEST), 4 September 2020.
