Request for Proposal: BA20002 Banana Industry R&D Coordination
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Banana Industry R&D Coordination (BA20002).
The objectives of the investment are to support:
• leadership and coordination of R&D for the Australian banana industry
• timely development of highly relevant R&D products and therefore improved and earlier profitability gains for the banana industry
• where identified, reduced duplication in Research, Development, Extension & Communication (RDE&C) pathways resulting in improved value for money from the suite of banana industry investments
• increased opportunities and capabilities of banana industry RDE&C networks to coordinate, collaborate, and leverage investments and resources leading to improved value for money from the suite of banana industry investments
• evidence based representation of the banana industry and its R&D at relevant forums, and meetings of relevant government departments and agencies either directly or in partnership with project leads to achieve optimal conditions for industry innovation.
