Request for Proposal: Australian Onions – Export market intelligence (VN20004)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian Onions – Export market intelligence (VN20004).
The objectives of the services being sought are to produce market intelligence and insight reports which will assist in the continued export development for the Australian onion industry. Access to trade performance information, consumer insights and the broader macroeconomic trading environment is essential to ensure that the onion industry remains informed on the issues and considerations that may affect current and future trade and market performance. In addition, timely and a deeper dive insight of reporting will enable industry to remain informed and improve their export capability.
The key objectives of this project are to:
• Produce timely and commercially relevant market intelligence
• Summarise industry trade performance and identify and evaluate key industry and global influences affecting trade outcomes over the reporting period(s)
• Provide insight in the global competition, structure of the market, market channel dynamics, consumer preferences, consumption, and perceptions of onions in priority markets
• Provide updates on seasonal conditions in growing areas, market dynamics and pricing.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
