Request for Proposal: Pathway to carbon neutral - life cycle analysis (LCA) in almond orchards (AL20005)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Pathway to carbon neutral - life cycle analysis (LCA) in almond orchards (AL20005).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Provide a Life Cycle Assessment to define the almond industry greenhouse gas emission (GHGE) footprint and potential pathway to optimise reduction of GHGE.
• Support the Australian almond industry to communicate the environmental impact for each life cycle component and develop future targets for environmental sustainability.
• Provide growers with an understanding on the potential to improve the sustainability of their businesses.
• Allow industry to identify the area of greatest return and value of progressing an application to develop approved offset methods and/or where further research is required to obtain the information needed to develop approved Carbon Market methods through the Commonwealth Government.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.

The closing date for responses is 3.00pm (AEST), Wednesday 25th May 2022. Extended to 3.00pm (AEST), Wednesday 1st June 2022.
