Request for Proposal: Emerging trends on non-tariff measures (NTMs) in the horticulture sector (AM22001)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Emerging trends on non-tariff measures (NTMs) in the horticulture sector (AM22001).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Develop a comprehensive study on the identification of international standards of sustainability in food systems and their impact on Australian horticultural industry exports.
• Assess the national regulatory framework for the agricultural sector in relation to these new international trade rules and recommend actions to maintain and increase the competitiveness of Australian horticulture in the global context.
This investment recommendation aims to develop a comprehensive study on the identification and impact of these emerging NTMs on the Australian horticultural industry. Furthermore, it is expected that this study will also assess the sector’s status regarding these new international trade rules and what actions are recommended to maintain and increase our competitiveness in the global context.
