Request for Proposal: Avocado food service research and strategy (AV22005)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Avocado food service research and strategy (AV22005)
The objectives of the services being sought are to develop a five-year Food Service Market Development Strategy that will deliver growth for avocadoes in the domestic market.
A range of research has been conducted on the food service opportunity since 2007 and this requires review and synthesis. This synthesis, along with review and evaluation of past food service market development initiatives will form the diagnosis on which the industry strategy will be developed. The delivery partner needs to be an expert in food service market development strategies.

The objective is to develop a five-year Food Service Market Development Strategy that will deliver growth for the Australian avocado industry by:
1. A review of existing relevant food service research that is available.
2. A review and evaluation of past food service market development investments.
3. Develop a five-year industry strategy to grow the usage of Australian avocados in the food service market.
