Request for Proposal: Avocado FY23 retail education (AV22006)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Avocado FY23 retail education (AV22006).
The objectives of the services are to help Hort Innovation achieve Strategic Investment Plan outcome one: demand creation and strategy one: consumer demand. Including the education of retail staff on the best storage/handling and merchandising practices and facilitate the following outcomes
• Reduction in bruising of avocados when merchandised
• Reduction in squeezing by retail customers to determine ripeness.
Leading to:
• Increased demand for Australian avocados
• Increased purchase intent
• Increased conversion at shelf
• Increased consumer satisfaction of Australian Avocados due to improved quality.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
