Request for Proposal: Horticulture food safety initiative (HN21000)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Horticulture food safety initiative (HN21000).
The key objectives of this program are to:
• Identify food safety research outputs and information for extension and further amplification to horticulture industry food safety stakeholders.
• Develop and implement appropriate extension strategies and resources to increase awareness and adoption of food safety research outputs and support adoption of best practice food safety practices in horticulture production and processing, therefore increasing benefits of completed and current research.
• Contribute to reduced horticulture food safety incidents, corrective action requests during audits and increased consumer and market confidence.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
