Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Pistachio Production Research Program (PS22000).
The objectives of the services being sought are to.
· Understanding the impact of growing degree days on the physiology and input requirements.
· Investigating the causes and techniques to manage pre-juvenile shoot-death dieback, including further pathological and viroid.
· Understanding chill identification, optimised techniques through a mechanistic understanding and whether the increased concentrations of oils and polymers mitigate the issues.
· Investigating the role of chill, the role of polymers to manage blanks in spring temperature.
· Strengthening information gathering on practices both here and overseas in order to provide some guidance on the future direction of research.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
