Request for Proposal: Management of viral diseases for the Australian vegetable industry (VG24001)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Management of viral diseases for the Australian vegetable industry (VG24001).
This investment aims to aid the vegetable industry in the transition into more sustainable and predictive approaches for the management of vectors, through innovative solutions that will minimise pest outbreaks, decrease virus transmission, improve chemical stewardship, and better utilise beneficial organisms. The research targets for this investment aim to inform the development of innovative resources and tools for vegetable growers to be delivered via a dedicated extension and communication.
The specific aims of this investment include the following objectives:
• Identify key vectors and develop tools for monitoring and tracking virus transmission in vegetable crops.
• Develop management systems that can be used to drive sustainable and predictive vector population management.
• Develop predictive frameworks that allow growers to make decisions that appraise the impacts of both insecticides and beneficials.
• Develop grower tools and deliver resources to simplify pest management decisions and reduce industry reliance on insecticides.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
Please note, our tender document suite has recently updated. These updates include:
• A new Tender Companion Guide to assist with completing Project Proposals.
• The Project Proposal Template now consists of two parts (replacing previous MRT): a Word document and an Excel component for financial tables.
Please ensure both the Word and Excel components are included in your submission.
The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
The closing date for responses is October 17, 2024 3:00PM (AEDT).
