Expression of Interest: Vegetable Crop Forecasting
Hort Innovation is the not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. We invest more than $158M per year in research and development, marketing and trade activities to build a prosperous and sustainable future for growers.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner to express interest in the project: Vegetable Crop Forecasting.
This program aims to aims to harness new technologies, data analytics, and industry collaboration to develop a reliable system for predicting seasonal production volumes. The goal is to enhance market planning, risk management, and overall industry sustainability.
The program may propose solutions that include, but are not limited to, the following components:
1. Development of an innovative crop forecasting system that provides accurate, timely, and actionable predictions for vegetable production across different regions and crop types.
2. Empowerment of growers and industry stakeholders with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions based on robust production data.
3. Leveraging of novel approaches and cutting-edge technology analytics to enhance the accuracy and reliability of crop production forecasts.
