Request for Proposal: Evaluating mechanical harvest solutions in Australia
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Evaluating mechanical harvest solutions in Australia (VG24006).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Introduce global mechanical harvesting manufacturers to the Australian vegetable industry.
• Enable direct discussions between manufacturers, growers, and agribusinesses to align product designs with Australian conditions.
• Showcase the scale and diversity of the Australian vegetable market to manufacturers.
• Foster partnerships and collaborations for future research, development, and product adaptation.
• Encourage the adoption of innovative mechanical harvesting solutions to address labour and cost challenges.
