Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Horticulture Statistics Handbook FY 2024-2027 (MT24019).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Continue producing the leading source of trusted and unified horticulture statistics that highlights the sector’s value, establishes a standardised approach to data collection, and ensures the methodology remains relevant as the industry grows and evolves, driving ongoing improvements in performance and competitiveness.
• Develop and incorporate a regional production data process, for all fruit, vegetable nut and amenity products, in addition to the existing Handbook statistics to provide a clear picture of industry performance across all horticulture commodities and geography.
The Horticulture Statistics Handbook and associated data from this program, underpin and inform data-driven decision-making, shaping evidence-based policy, and refining industry strategies. The Handbook directly supports Hort Innovation and strengthens the Australian horticulture industry by providing the foundational data needed to drive productivity, optimise resource allocation, and enhance competitiveness across all levels of the sector.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).
The closing date for responses is 12/05/2025 3:00 PM (AEST).
