Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation and the Plus One Serve of Vegetables by 2030 program, are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from delivery partners, individuals, retailers and researchers to put forward concepts that address the barriers to vegetable consumption, as detailed in the Plus One Retail Setting Action Plan (more information in EOI document).
The research priorities are:
1. Perceived value and cost (including mental, time and financial)
2. Convenience and ease
3. Knowledge and skills
4. Impact of health-focused communication
Respondents need to be able to demonstrate that their solution addresses a real-world need and confirm a pathway to adoption, including engagement with retailer or another suitable implementation pathway. Research project funds cannot be used to fund marketing activities.
Hort Innovation has prepared an EOI document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the process and the information required from interested parties.
