Tender Details
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Summerfruit export readiness and market access (SF17000).
The objectives of the services being sought are to help Hort Innovation to ensure the export readiness of the summerfruit industry for export to all existing markets (excluding China) by:
• Providing input into the maintenance of an industry Export Strategy by Hort Innovation detailing market access, improvement and development priorities.
• Provide input into Hort Innovation’s market development programmes in line with priorities identified in the Export Strategy and outcome 1 of the SIP
• Providing input into the development of training materials for a broad multi-industry export training programme aligned to the Export Strategy
• Providing input into the development of Export Quality Standards
• Implement an online export registration system
• Facilitating the logistics and providing assistance to enable the Department’s registration and audit of export facilities
• Prepare and submit business cases to the Trade Assessment Panel for new market access and market improvement (for all markets) based on priorities identified in the Export Strategy
• Provide a point of expert industry advice to growers, exporters and other stakeholders, including Hort Innovation, the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, Austrade and state agencies
• Design of an emergency industry consultation and response plan in case of market disruption or closure
• Ensure the continuity of knowledge within the industry through increased core resourcing
• Close coordination with the specific point of responsibility for preparing growers and exporters to export successfully to mainland China (project SF17002)
• Provide a specific point of responsibility for preparing growers and exporters to export successfully to all markets other than China
• Working collaboratively with other horticulture sectors.
