Tender Details
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: An integrated disease management programme for the Australian almond industry (AL16005)

The overarching objective of the programme is to develop and extend knowledge and practices that support best practice on-farm integrated disease management (IDM). Specifically, the services are to:

• Undertake a disease survey across the four key almond growing regions (i.e. Adelaide Plains, Riverland, Sunraysia and Riverina) and from this develop and undertake research priorities for the integrated management of almond diseases of economic concern
• Develop a guide to efficiently managing multiple diseases, ensuring that major diseases of concern are incorporated, including lower limb dieback and hull rot
• Work with the concurrent project being procured on integrated pest management (IPM) (AL16009)
• Collaborate with the almond industry’s communication (AL16000) and innovation and adoption (AL16001) projects to extend information on integrated disease management.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
