Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation through VegPRO is seeking a training provider via this request to design and deliver: Vegetable pest and disease basic skills workshops (VG15028).
The request is to develop and deliver a total of seven training workshops for Victoria, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory on managing pests and diseases of vegetable crops.
The training will be delivered to vegetable growers and their operational staff who are involved in day to day pest and disease management on farms. The training content and delivery approach must have a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on training. The content must cover disease and pest identification and integrated management options from prevention to control. Content must be tailored to the crops grown and pest and disease issues in the respective regions. Applications can be made to deliver one or multiple training workshops.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Training Service Request document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
