Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian summerfruit consumer research (SF17516).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Design, execute and analyse a comprehensive research study to support development of a creative and validated marketing strategy that contributes directly and measurably to an increase in the demand for Australian summerfruit by Australian main-grocery buyers.
• Undertake the research study to include:
o Identification and understanding of consumer preferences, purchasing drivers, barriers and influences, usage and purchasing behaviour, life stage/demographic profile and media consumption
o Awareness and perception of Australian summerfruit in context of competitive landscape (including price)
o Identification of potential target segment/s
o Optional identification of potential positioning areas (please cost this out separately as an option)
• Assess and understand the current perception on fruit quality and how it impacts the consumer (with the potential tracking of this in the future).
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
