Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Mechanisation R&D and demonstration for the Australian Potato Industry (PT25003).
The objective of this investment is to enable the Australian potato industry to reduce labour reliance, improve productivity and enhance commercial resilience through the adoption of proven mechanisation and automation technologies.
Specifically, the investment aims to:
- validate mechanisation technologies that address priority labour and efficiency constraints
- demonstrate commercially viable solutions under Australian conditions
- build industry capability to effectively operate, maintain and integrate new technologies
- support informed adoption decisions through clear economic evidence
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
