Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Deploy novel self-limiting technology for eradication of Mediterranean fruit fly (FF18000).
The key objectives of this program are to deploy market-ready self-limiting strain of Mediterranean Fruit Fly (Medfly) in Australia. The project will:
• Generate data and information required by the Australian Regulators, including those in the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR); APVMA; and FSANZ
• Seek to satisfy all other requirements for the commercial release of self-limiting strain of Medfly
• Develop collaboration with highly reputable researchers in Australia and overseas.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEST), Monday, August 6, 2018
