Request for Proposal: Investigation of skin hardening and splitting disorders in sweetpotatoes
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Investigation of skin hardening and splitting disorders in sweetpotatoes (PW18001).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation to:
• Investigate the links between nutrients, temperature, moisture and varieties with the skin hardening and splitting
• Collaborate with overseas counterparts to increase research outcomes
• Provide growers a better understanding on the best practice to reduce postharvest losses to skin splitting
• Provide recommendations for areas of future investment in preventing skin hardening and splitting.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
