Request for Proposal: Stepped approach to achieving banana exports
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $13.2 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Stepped approach to achieving banana exports (BA19006).
The objectives of the services being sought are to take the next steps for banana export development, in line with a planned approach to achieving banana exports over the long term. This project is intended to fund market access activities, build industry export capability and provide market intelligence for growers. It will involve:
• Increasing market intelligence and awareness
• Cultivating export readiness and capacity
• Build in-market relationships through participation in Asia Fruit Logistica, and other trade shows as determined through consultation with industry.
• Develop recommendations as to next steps for achieving exports for the Australian banana industry including opportunities and barriers
