Request for Proposal: Improving quality of sweetpotato across the industry supply chain (PW20000)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Improving quality of sweetpotato across the industry supply chain (PW20000).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Improve the quality of Australian sweetpotatoes by identifying key quality issues and developing solutions.
• Drive demand, increase customer satisfaction and improve market acceptability through engaging key stakeholders across the supply chain.
• Measure quality of sweetpotatoes at retail (data collection and use to be considered as part of the submission, with aggregated data to be shared with industry and the supply chain and data of individual businesses to be treated confidentially).
• Provide evidence-based feedback to retailers, marketing groups, growers and packers on quality of sweetpotatoes at retails with the aim of adopting practices to improve the quality of sweetpotatoes at retail.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
