Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Foodservice foundational market insights (MT21011).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation provide foundational research into the key foodservice channels across both the institutional and commercial streams. The key objectives of this program are to:
• Produce timely and commercially relevant market intelligence reports
• Understand the current foodservice landscape at a macro level
• Define who influences the menu and understand what their motivations are
• Understand the role of provenance and supporting Australian produce
• What do the food service industries like and dislike about specific Australian products. Consider taste attributes, quality, price, supply, versatility etc.
• Understand the nuances of each of the channels including requirements (currently met or not met), new or improved product formats, target foodservice ‘consumer’ segment/s and $ size of opportunity
• Identify targeted opportunities for growers to more effectively engage directly with foodservice providers
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
