Request for Proposal: Extension and communications for the Australian Cherry industry (CY22002)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Extension and communications for the Australian Cherry industry (CY22002).
Through tailored extension and communication related initiatives and activities this investment aims to delivery on the following key objectives:
• Identify and address constraints and opportunities responsible for maximising sustainable and profitable production in the Australian cherry industry, including the opportunity to guide future research, development, and engineering investments.
• A better-informed industry with increased understanding, skills and knowledge leading to adoption of best practice and advanced production systems and supply chains, resulting from research, development, and engineering project outcomes and outputs on cherry quality, enhanced on-farm production systems and management of biosecurity.
• Provide information through contemporary communication and extension practices to the cherry industry value chain on research findings, best practice, emerging risks, and opportunities supporting extension activities leading to changes in knowledge, attitude, skills, aspiration, and practice.
• Promote understanding of the role of Hort Innovation and engagement with the national research and development programs to all cherry levy payers.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
