Request for Proposal: Banana quality and in-store education program FY23 (BA22005)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Banana quality and in-store education program FY23 (BA22005).
The objectives of the services are to help Hort Innovation achieve Strategic Investment Plan outcome one: demand creation and outcome two: industry supply, productivity and sustainability and include:
• Improve the quality of bananas in-store through monitoring, auditing, reporting and demonstrated training and implementation with store staff. The outcome will encourage adoption of industry best standards and enhance the quality of shopping of shopping bananas at the retail level.
• Providing a return on investment for growers in terms of demand creation of Australian bananas.
• Imparting knowledge to in store fresh produce team members on optimal practices for merchandising, storage, and ordering.
• Gather knowledge on ordering, storage, ripening and restocking practices of bananas in the retail environment, with the objective to implement best practice and improve in store standards.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
