The contract will cover all work required to finalise the platform concept, undertake all necessary design and development and deploy the application as a standalone website. A prototype of this learning platform has been designed using wireframing software (Balsamiq) and based on the findings of the internal capacity assessment. This will form the basis for the development of the web application. A walk through of the wireframes can be viewed here. The wireframes file and capacity assessment report are available as an annex to this Request for Procurement.
Key features of the application will include:
• Resource database, with the following functionality as a minimum:
o filtering and key word search
o document download
o pop-up learning tips
o information overlays
• Self-assessment tool
• Online quiz builder
• Content Management System and platform backend, to allow administrative users to
add/edit all content
• A self-learning SER module, including downloadable exercises 9
• Forum
The development will include:
• Technical Architecture Diagram
• Frontend development
• Integration Steps
• Database Development
• User Authentication
The quality assurance steps required should include:
• QA testing and fixes
• Test cases
• Unit Tests to cover code for UI and API
• Crash/Error logging
• Security Vulnerability Testing
• User Acceptance Testing
The intellectual property rights to the source code will be held by SPC.
