SAFE MSME Funding Mechanism Evaluation and Guide
The European Union-funded Safe Agriculture trade Facilitation through Economic integration in the Pacific (SAFE Pacific) Project is part of the broader EU-funded Pacific Regional Integration Support (PRISE) programme. The initiative is being implemented in 15 Pacific ACP countries: Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. The SAFE Pacific grant process commenced in 2023 and targets four key commodities: Kava, Coconut, Turmeric, and Cocoa. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were eligible to apply for support
under this mechanism. This consultancy will evaluate the current grant mechanism, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide actionable recommendations. The process will culminate in the development of a revised and practical funding manual or guide aligned with SPC policies
