The Pacific Islands Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (PILNA) is a well-established regional nassessment that provides data on the achievement of Year 4 and Year 6 students in literacy and numeracy. The PILNA main study in 2018 will be administered in 15 countries in 10 different languages.
The value of PILNA is enormous considering the amount of data collected that is used in the countries by policy makers and teachers to improve literacy and numeracy skills of pupils. PILNA addresses targets identified in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) by providing a measure of the literacy and numeracy skills of students in the region.
The scope of work includes printing the required number of PILNA 2018 Literacy and Numeracy test papers as well as
questionnaires for students, teachers and head teachers, for 15 countries in 10 different languages. The Manuals (for National Coordinators, School Coordinators and Test Supervisors) are required to be printed in English and French only and the Test Supervisor’s Instruction printed in English as well.
