The Pacific Community (SPC) in partnership with KfW, has been implementing a Post TC PAM Recovery Program with the Government of Vanuatu since 2015. A component of the Recovery Program is the “Strengthening of the Emergency Radio
Communications systems of the Vanuatu NDMO”. This has involved the Vanuatu NDMO, OGCIO, TRR, VMF and other allied agencies.
The strengthening of the emergency communications system under the KfW/SPC Recovery Program will include the supply and installation of emergency HF and VHF communications which includes the carriage of data as well as provision of training for technicians and operators.
