The Pacific Community's (SPC's) Human Rights Programme, RRRT, in partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) is pleased to announce an open funding opportunity for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and campaign coalition groups engaged in human rights advocacy. The opportunity is available in the Federated States of Micronesia (Pohnpei and Chuuk), Republic of the Marshall Islands (Majuro), Solomon Islands (Guadalcanal and Malaita), Tonga (Tongatapu and Vava'u) and Vanuatu (Efate and Santo).
A small grant of up to EUR4000 is available to support advocacy campaigns advancing any human rights aim. Allocation of funds will be determined through the completion of a simple request for funding proposal and submission of a budget. All applications will be considered by the SPC RRRT Country Focal Officers (CFOs) and SPC RRRT in Suva. All requests for funding must show evidence that campaigns have specific change objectives and a clear Action Plan; and must show how the funding sought will support the proposed advocacy activities and advance advocacy objectives. Successful grantees can also receive mentoring support from RRRT to support progress toward campaign objectives.
