n scoping meeting with EQPB to ensure all necessary details are address in the Environmental Assessment
3. Preparation of an Environmental Assessment of the proposed works. Following consultation with the RENI Project Engineer in Suva, and the EQPB, and using the EQPB Guide to Environmental Impact Assessment (EQPB 2000) prepare the Environmental Assessment and including the following sections:
• A. General project description
• B. Environmental setting before the project
• C. Environmental impact of the proposed project
• D. Alternatives to the proposed action
• E. Proposed mitigation for the project
• F. Additional information.
• G. Determination as to whether the proposed activity may have a significant impact on the environment based on criteria contained in the EQPB regulations.
4. Submission of the Environmental Assessment to EQPB and the permit application documents for Part I (General Information) and Part II (Earth Moving Permit and Public Water Supply) of the EQPB Permit Application. Submit the Environmental Assessment and permit application documents to EQPB and make any necessary payment for fees. (The RENI Project Engineer, based in Suva, will provide the blueprints and engineering details). All submittals must be in accordance with acceptable standards (EQPB ESCP Manual, AWWA standards, etc.)
5. Respond to queries made by EQPB until the permit is issued. Make any changes to the environmental assessment and permit application as required by EQPB, and in collaboration with the RENI Project Engineer. Re-submit the permit until accepted by EQPB. Keep the RENI Project Engineer, based in Suva, advised as to progress of the submission.

6. Prepare a short report summarising the activities of this consultancy and identifying any challenges.
