Tender Details
The Fiji has seen the growth of the Organic Industry in the last 10 years. This growth has mainly been driven by the private Sector, Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Enterprises. In order to continue this development with Government involvement and support the 2 line Ministries Agriculture MOA) and Ministry of Industry Trade and Tourism(MITT) have requested that a National Organic Policy be developed.
As part of the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Communities (POETCom's) work the Pacific Organic Policy Tool Kit has been developed to help meet just such a request. The Fiji National Organic Policy will therefore utilize the Pacific Organic Policy Tool Kit to guide its development of the Fiji Policy. POETCom will draw on its experience in developing the Vanuatu National Organic Policy following the same methodology to support this development.

The overall goal is to develop the Fiji National Organic Policy. This Policy will guide the development of Organic Agriculture in Fiji for the next 10 years.
The consultant will lead stakeholders through the policy development process and undertake the actual writing of the draft policy. This process will involve conducting a review of the Fiji National Organic Situational Analysis, holding consultations with various line Ministries, be the lead facilitator of National Organic Stakeholder Consultations, prepare a draft of the Fiji National Organic Policy .
This process is supported by the UNDP Sustainable Development Goals Fund (SDGF) through the "Farm to Table Project".
