In carrying out the assignment, the preferred service provider shall be required to undertake the following
tasks:
i. Provide technical advice to SPC and the Government of Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Fiji concerning the preparation of their individual and joint ECS Submissions;
ii. Carry out technical work and scientific interpretation associated with the preparation of ECS Submissions, including, where required, determination of natural prolongation, location of the Foot of the Continental Slope (FOS), the application of the Sediment Thickness and Gardiner formulae, as well as the determination of ECS points;
iii. Assist in the drafting and editing of written material associated with the preparation of ECS Submissions, including the development of maps and diagrams;
iv. Assist Government officials and technical staff engaged in work under this project to carry out work associated with (1)-(3) above through the use of appropriate computer software;
v. Cooperate fully with the SPC staff assigned to the project; and, carry out such other related tasks as may be required by SPC in connection with the implementation of this project.
