The scope of work will include the following:
1. Gathering of instructions.
2. Reviewing existing laws and policies pertaining to the regulating of SSB and Marketing of
Unhealthy Food and SSB to Children.
3. Prepare the two cabinet papers and other instructions for the relevant Ministers to
tabling at cabinet for approval.
4. Develop draft legislations following cabinet approval to amend SSB tax and control
marketing of unhealthy foods and SSBs to children.
5. Ongoing consultation and facilitation of comments on draft legislations.
6. Finalise draft legislations for Nitijela endorsement.
7. Prepare the two bills for introduction to the Nitijela and amend bills as necessary by the
relevant Committees and the Nitijela.
