The project sites Polowat, Pulusuk and Pulap islands are situated in the Northwest region of Chuuk and are only accessible via sea transportation. For this reason, the project is seeking proposals for the provision of a return (vessel) charter from Weno to Polowat and Pulusuk islands. The objective of the trip to the islands are (i) to carry out a full installation of the rainwater harvesting systems at the identified buildings on the two islands, (ii) carry out water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) awareness programmes at the primary schools and, (iii) install a rain-gauge on Polowat island.
