Tender Details
These countries rely heavily on a hybrid system of groundwater and rainwater harvesting to meet their needs.
The MCAP Project aims to achieve the following:
• Identify extents and threats to ground water resources.
• Develop potential ground water resources.
• Increase awareness of ground water as a water security supply source
• Provide options for improved access to ground water; and
• Improving aquifer protection and management.

Tuvalu works:
• Ground Water Gallery construction consisting of a uPVC DN450 vertical pipe casing from which 2 x DN 150 uPVC slotted pipes will extend outwards in two directions forming the intake arms.
• Concrete Construction of the Gallery Chamber together with the installation of lockable Access Hatch and pipe installation of the rising mains and necessary appurtenance.
• Installation of a Solar Powered Borehole Pump complete with control unit, photovoltaic cells and support panels, well probe, check valve, cabling and pump support and necessary accessories.
• Pipelaying of DN 100 mPVC RRJ pressure mains from Gallery Site to Community filling point complete with necessary bends and washout arrangements.
• Construction of Concrete tank slab that will sit 4 x 10,000L PE tanks that will be located above ground complete with hold down/ tie points for securing tanks.
• Installation of above ground DN 110 and DN 50 PE pipe and fittings that will form the PE tanks inlet pipe works complete with float valves for level control.
• Installation of DN 75 PE pipe and fittings comprising of the PE tank outlets connecting to a common DN 75 PE pipe transitioning to a DN 80 DICL filling point for community access
• Items included under this RFP include Construction Materials, Pipes & Fittings, Tools and Equipment and Prefabricated Items required to complete the construction and development of the Nanumea Ground Water Gallery Project.
RMI works:
• Construction of a Ground Water Gallery Structure consisting of a uPVC DN450 vertical pipe casing from which 2 x DN 150 uPVC slotted pipes will extend outwards in two directions forming the intake arms.
• Concrete construction of Chamber top and above ground concrete apron upon which pipe works will be located on.
• Installation of a Solar Powered Borehole Pump complete with control unit, photovoltaic cells, and support panels, well probe, check valve, cabling and pump support and necessary accessories.
• Pipelaying of DN 100 mPVC RRJ pressure mains from Gallery Site to two community filling points delineated by the northern and southern pipelines.
• Construction of two Concrete tank slabs that will sit 2 x 5,000L PE tanks each that will be located above ground complete with hold down/ tie points for securing tanks.
• Installation of above ground DN 110 and DN 50 PE pipe and fittings that will form the PE tanks inlet pipe works complete with float valves for level control.
• Items included under this RFP include Construction Materials, Pipes & Fittings, Tools and Equipment require to complete and maintain the Wotje Ground Water Gallery project
