Tender Details
Satellite imagery is a powerful tool to assist in the various risk associated work that is currently being implemented across GEM. The purpose of accessing available imagery will greatly assist the work of GEM in progressing the various outputs needed across the division as it relates to risk, in particular shoreline change, disasters and water quality. The imagery will enable GEM and the Pacific Island Countries to monitor their coastlines.
The preferred approach to ensure that images of areas of interest (AOI) are obtained in a timely manner and allow monitoring of coastal impacts is through (1) the acquisition of 50 images for each AOI that will be obtain periodically. The initial cadence is set up in a fortnight basis with the flexibility of changing it and tasking when an extreme event is anticipated.
In addition, (2) access to archival imagery dating back at least 10 years is also foreseen to complement, where possible, the monitoring.
The minimum services required are detailed below:
(1) Acquisition of 52 high-resolution images for each of the AOI specified below, where coastal monitoring is expected to be enhanced or put in place. The following minimum services are required:
• Maximum Resolution: 1 m/pixel
• Cadence: initially bi-weekly basis, with flexibility to task when an extreme event is anticipated.
• Bands: RGB (NIR is desirable)
• Ortho-rectified GeoTiff format
(2) Access to archive imagery dating back at least 10 years with, at least, resolution of 3 m/pixel resampled.
